Apparently if you're misrepresented in the register you're supposed to contact the Information Commissioner.

Last time I complained about something to the Information Commissioner I was advised it would take eight weeks for someone even to look at it.

You could easily go bankrupt in those timescales.

I would have thought that because it took them 4 months to deliver, it would only count as two months.

Not your fault they are useless and most likely make a fortune running their business this way, as some people, no doubt, will reorder from them again

Hotels & Leisure Business:: Bannantyne Health Spa
I know what I'll get into the Den with an idea for a 'get this '
'Healthy' Health Club as opposed to a dirty germ breeding factory, I'll advise him on the hiring of compotent staff and a good customer service department.. (A good company knows that they treat each complaint as a target to reach better standards; not a lets make your awful experience even worse. Well they have managed to make it a day we wont forget but for all the wrong reasons)
I would like to think that Duncan is not aware of the issues in his facilities, but who knows!!!
Sent a letter to Mr Musgrove to tell him I am not accepting his offer. Will also be sending one recorder delivery to Duncan to tell him of my intentions.
QUESTION:
Is it correct that if you send a recorded letter to a named person at their place of work' that even if it is picked up by that persons PA or whoever, the letter must reach them, or that they must be informed of it??

Consumer Rights - Legal Matters 'n Opinions:: Pcworld/The Tech Guys
Hi
Which company was dealing with the repair??
My sons laptop got damaged on the screen, it worked fine but had a white line through it. I sent it off for repair from my insurance company (who used AXA) and it was sent to powerplay (or something like that) and they tried to say it was not repairable and wanted to offer me replacement that cost £300, my sons was £800. I refused their offer and said I wanted a similar model with the same spec as the one damaged. They tried to tell me that this cheap model was as good. Eventuall I went back to my insurance company and told them. I also provided the documentaition to prove my model was far superior. When my insurance company went back to powerplay, suddenly they said they had made an error and my laptop was suddenly repairable!!! I told both companies that I thought the repair company were on a scam.
We spent over a month arguing about the laptops and their specs and yet they had supposedly mixed my model up with another claim. Hence the reason for the cheaper model they offered me. I
said I bet the other bloke is really chuffed then because you must have replaced his £300 model with a £800 model then...
I would go back to your main insurance company and tell them the situation, you should not have to pay for an error caused through them

General Forum:: What are my rights if I break something in a shop?
There used to be signs in shops saying if you break something you pay for it. If it was a big store where the cup was broken nowadays they would just write it off.

Where ever you were you should go back and ask for the money they now owe you

Electronic goods and Appliances:: Xbox Nightmare!!!!!!!!!!!
OK..................

I've been asing for an Xbox 360 from my wife for 18 months and after I finished the lounge diy my wife brought me one from comet, ok set it and played GTA 4 for a few days no problems.

It came to the time when I thought I should fill the serial number details on the XBOX website to reg the Xbox in case of repair problems in the future.

But it goes like this filled in the my name, address & serial number only to be told to ring the 0800 number, as the Xbox website was having problems with my serial number so called the number and after giving my serial number was told did I buy the xbox second hand I said er NO and was then told the XBOX had already been brought and reg by somebody else.

The lady on the XBOX support line suggest that Comet had sold the machine before and it had been returned either due to a fault or the person wishing just to return it but Comet is not allowd to resell second products if they have been reg.

So told wife then covered ears to save ear drums from the screaming, was then told that my wife had spent an hour and a half at comet due to the price being wrong and no one seemed to know how to change it on the till GGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Phone Comet complaint line was told to return the XBOX for a replacement new unit ok did that was done in ten mintues but the manager was not happy about it as he had no been told we were coming but his own HR department.

To be honest his manner was very rude not talking or making eye contact with us only to leave us at the customer service desk to talk to his staff will we were waiting for a Xbox to turn up.

I would have thought after all this and selling a second product they would have offered some sort good will gesture.

I want to make a complaint but not sure where start.

Mike

Miscellaneous:: Pass-guaranteed.com rips off customers
Just so there is no confusion of whether a copy of the failed transcripts were provided originally, here is my email along with the response from pass-guaranteed.com. Oh, and I'm not a competitor...

-----Original Message-----
From: techsupport@pass-guaranteed.com

Date: Thu, 3 Apr 2008 16:44:03
To:'Me'
Subject: RE: Please refund

Dear Don,

We have had nothing but great success with regards to the 70-292 and 70-296 practice exams. Please reply back to this email with where you state there are issue's and we will have our authors look into this. We are not refunding this order because we have had great feedback with regards to the 70-292 and 70-296.

Regards,
Michael. S

-----Original Message-----
From: Me
Sent: Thursday, April 3, 2008 1:53am
To: techsupport@pass-guaranteed.com
Subject: Please refund

I sent a message via the website yesterday but didn't get a response so I'm following up again. Attached is the scan of the two failed exams I took on the 31st. I was very disappointed in the quality if the testing engine and questions as part of the 70-292 and 70-296 products you sell. I have used pass-guaranteed in the past and had great success and was impressed with the quality, but not this time. There was a typo in almost every question, most of the graphics were unreadable, all True/False questions were True???, and some questions were just wrong. Please advise when I can expect my refund.

PayPal transaction ID: x530M

Thank you

Don B

how do I get my money back [by taylorb]

Internet based Companies & Services:: how do I get my money back
I ordered 2 new SD cards from onlinememory.co.uk in March and after 10 days received the 1st card after I had emailed and tried phoning several times, I had received no response to the emails, just received 1 of the 2 cards. I then emailed several times after that to request the 2nd card (they took the money from my credit card on the day I ordered the goods) still no reply, threatened to cancel the order on several occasions and finally did cancel the order, I then got an email saying sorry I had cancelled the order and no indication that I would get the money back. I have since tried phoneing again several times and just get number unobtainable now and still no replies to my emails requesting my money, I wrote to the credit card I used to buy the goods 2 weeks ago requesting them to refund my money but have heard nothing from them either. What do I do to get my money back and ensure that other people do not get the same treatment?
