Beware of the conservatories racket!
The prices of any spares have to be delivered from their central office
in Northants, where they are manufactured. Any missing items have to be
ordered, and even small items are almost impossible to obtain without
a lengthy (and expensive) wait.Wickes stores keep no fittings in stock,
so there's no way round the system. Spares are very expensive

I agree the service from Wickes is appalling.
We paid almost £6000 cash Dec.2nd 2001 for a conservatory and
still we are waiting for missing parts. As yet it is half completed and
we are about to take legal action against them.

On the 25-5-02, we ordered units for the bedrooms
they have not arrived but the money has been taken out off
our visa card, when we rang last week they had not been ordered by the
sales man ,rang today he is still trying to chase up someone who? i dont
know ,i am not a happy person at the moment

Update to my previous comment on the conservatory.
I am still one final part missing after 3 letters to the managing
director. A work colleague of my wife is now in the same situation with
them. I will keep you informed of my progress!

Compensation of £900 cash finally paid. Tried
to get us to accept £500 gift vouchers for Wickes. No way.
