Having
purchased a television from Tempo it burnt out less than a year later.
With them no longer functioning I decided to look for the company that made the
tv on the internet. I then find out that the product was recalled 6 weeks after
I bought it due to a faulty component that could be a serious fire risk. Subsequently
my tv burnt out yesterday. Having purchased the tv from tempo and them having
our details and the products details on record i would have expected to have been
informed by them. Thankfully my house has not been burnt down.
If anybody
knows how tempo or their administrators can be contacted and held accountable
I would be grateful to know - mfrehab@aol.com. I am currently seeking legal advice
on the matter

Indeed, Tempo has had a few problems recently re:
customer service. However, the whole chain is closing resulting in the loss of
about 800 jobs. When Tempo is gone, perhaps people can look back and remember
it for its service and push for unmetered internet access. It was at least, the
last big independant alternative.Rest in peace, Tempo.

BBC Watchdog is closely investigating the actions of Tempo's trading methods,
with the assistance of some ex-employees like myself. Many Tempo coverplans have
been uninsured since April 1997, although we (the branch staff) were not aware
of this. Keep checking your TV guides for the next few weeks as a Watchdog special
is on the way...

The tempo Watchdog Special is due to be broadcast on the
5th March 2002, cant wait !! As a ex salesman I confirm that we were
never told about how the coverplans were not underwritten by a insurance company

Mark, Bad luck guess you bought a Naiko Tv, everyone
in Tempo knew they were a cheap and chearfull TV's and it came to light very quickly
that these TV's were all duff.. another Tempo own brand!
