I have had quite a few dealings with Overclockers.co.uk
and have always found them to be utterly fair and reliable. I too had a problem with a Motherboard (Iwill XP333R) but it was sorted out promptly.

You have to remember that this is a website that will deal with a lot of chancers on CPU returns (destroyed through overclocking). YOU destroyed your CPU fitting it and that is the risk you take with OEM products. As for your other products, have you tried replacing your PSU - if it's a poor quality one, it would explain all your associated problems. Next time, buy a Dell.

I have had nothing but trouble
with OVERCLOCKERS.CO.UK I purchased 256mb of their corsair DDR400 ram after 5 days it failed and kept on rebooting the computer I sent it back they said their is nothing wrong with it and sent it back then had the nerve to take an extra £18 from my credit card without my permission. My credit card company is currently investigating. Be carefull with this lot if its OK your alright if goes wrong you've had it.

I've used this company and I have to say I've had no problems with them
, they even offered help when somethign wouldnt work. (plus I thought Overclocking voided your warranty?!?!?) Mr Nihill... 17 February 2003

If they had sorted the problem in the first place then the guy wouldn't have had a damaged cpu!
This company is one of the most evasive and incompetent I have ever dealt with in 20 years of being in the computer business.

Their sum total of computer know how put together wouldn't fit on a postage stamp!

They are very eager to answer sales enquiries or take your money but are worse than useless at fault finding and issuing rma numbers. They also have a habit of hanging up the phone on customers who have been rining trying to get through...i'v seen them do it!

Of course there will be chancers who ruin their equipment and try to get it replaced free of charge..but that's no reason to become totally paranoid with the rest of your customers. See the April 2003 issue of PC Zone Magazine for more proof! Look in the "watchdog" section.

And surely a company that has built it's customer base on the practice of "overclocking" has a bit of a nerve then telling people they won't honour a warrant if you overclock??? Steer well clear...there are far better companies to deal with. A Peterson... 4 March 2003

I use ebuyer.co.uk and have seldom had problems with components
not working, and even then they are replaced, no questions asked :) ... Stay away from overclockers! Tony W..27 March 2003

I have had 3dealings with overclockers.co.uk and all bad.
1.ordered xp1800 thoroughbred cpu got palimino xp1800
2.ordered xp2100 thoroughbred cpu got xp2100 palimino.
no postage refund.
3.got abit KD7 did not work ,so sent it back the next day .they returned it to me 3days later with 33quid billed to me claimed to be testing fee + postage not authorised by me .complete with a letter saying warranty void due to mark by cpu socket.I kid you not this mark is the size of a pin head, and when I inspected with an eyeglass you can see that in fact the laquer on the board has lifted and the tracks that are underneath are fully intact.WHAT a rip off.I am taking them to small claims court . If you take a look at the sales of goods act
for the first 6 months its is down to overclockers to sort out any goods that you think are faulty and it is up to them to prove the goods they supply were not fault before they were sent to you this means a full written report.

To test the components would take half a day to a day with the report, the motherboard needs windows loading on it to test it then the cpu could been tried in the tested motherboard then the graphics card if all were working then they could have run some software like Sandra soak tested the system and run a report.

As I said this would take maybe a day now you can start to see why people get upset there are some good hardware support departments out there if you find one stay with them if there parts cost more then you know why good service costs more money and only time you find out is when it goes wrong and by that time its to late.~

I have used overclockers but called at stoke to pick up a case I will not be calling again the case was fine but came with no power supply so there was little to go wrong if you call you will know why.

Lot’s of people think they can build a pc and find it’s harder then they first thought It’s easy till it goes wrong, if you buy mail order and you have a fault, don't fault find for the company send it back if they send it back and say its ok and it is working then they may charge you I would say 25 pounds would Be ok to cover their costs

But if you still have problems send it back tell then what’s wrong i.e. its crashing in windows ask them what tests they have carried out and ask for a written report 9 times out of 10 if you do this that will replace the parts because they just don't have the time to test every part that’s sent back don't forget if don't work when you get it then it up to them to sort it out.
