I am having similar problems with One2host. My email has not functioned at all for 4 days and only intermittently over the last month. Their contact procedures are completely ineffective. What is more, their packages are prepaid for the entire year and refunds are only given when notification is given within the first 7 days of service. Given their explicit guarantees on their site re: downtime and service, seems almost fraudulent. I know that in Canada (unfortunately this is a UK company) the terms of service that they have posted would NOT stand up in our court system in the Province of Ontario.

Be very wary of One2host!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If they were an Ontario based company then you can be sure that I would be investing time, money and effort in legal proceedings because of the damage caused.

Something bad is going on at One2Host,
all their email addresses return mail with the message "This address no longer accepts mail". There so called Live Help system hasn't worked for about 2 years to my knowledge. Their 24hr iHelp system has vanished. I could find no contact email addresses on the site.

I did a WHOIS and found the phone number they listed was false, it would have needed an extra digit to be a valid phone number. It also lists them as being in London and not Kent as it says on the site. They are also listed as ex-directory in the phone book, that or GH Communications ltd and One2Host don't exist??!!

At the moment my site and email are working fine but I am unable to access my control panel and for all my attempts, there seems no way to contact them. Rev. Myers ... 16 August 2003

Our site (hosted on a Unix server) and email has been down since the 26th of July (more than 3 weeks now!).
Another site hosted on windows has been on and off for the past month too.

After repeated attempts at contacting them, the only answer I got from one2host is that (i) they had been under a Denial of Service attack (ii) they were moving their servers to the US.

No firm date has been given as to when they plan to bring back their normal service. That seems all quite dodgy to me. So stay away from one2host if you can! JJ ... 17 August 2003

For God's sake, (and more importantly, your own) don't give On2host any of your money.
My web site went down for a week, and when it came back up, the files were 3 months out of date. Also, I could no longer ftp my files or log on to my control panel.

After 2 weeks of fruitless submissions to their amusingly named "Help" utility, I received a terse message that my problem would be fixed within 24 hours. It hasn't been fixed, and it's 48 hours later. Their web site is all fancy pictures and no actual function (aside from accepting new accounts).

I am suffering from similar problems to the above complaints.
I've had issues with them in the past, and would strongly recommend against using their services in the future - I've not been able to receive email for a couple of weeks, and my site (with important data) can not be reached. Support is useless. Yossi Mills ... 28 August 2003

Continual problems over a number of years.
I moved my hosting account from this company years ago. however the domain name is still registered with them. Last year they let it expire without sending me a renewal. Now I need to transfer the domain to a new registrar and the Admin contact is set to a non functional address of theirs. They publish no contact details so how am I supposed to get this changed. I have had the same problems with one2host. I signed up because they advertised 99.9% uptime. I had almost complete down time in the 4 months I had them. I first asked for a full refund within 1 week of signing up but I hung in there because they promised server upgrades to fix the problem. They even sent me to thier compitition to access my webmail There tech support people are un-trained, rude, and very slow to respond to priority one tickets. I switched to everyone.net for my email. They are great!

I also am having problems -
they first took money from my credit card for a service I did not askk for and then initially refused to refund it using their 7 day rule - but after many weeks I was able to eventually prove that my refund request was within even their 7 day window. Now I am again trying to recover an illegal charge but get no response.

"How not to run a Business 101";
this should be the name of a universoty course dedicated to the recalcitrent and ineffective service and support of One2Host.com This is a UK company?!?!? With this kind of DIS-service, it's a wonder the Brits aren't turning into a 3rd world nation! I can not yet begin to figure how my company is losing money due to down-time and no e-mail. They have my domain name Tritonandassociates.com locked up and I can't even get it switched over to a new host. I will be writing Bulk Register.com to have them possibly removed from the vendor list. I can't even list my company e-mail here because it's DOWN!!!

One2Host sent a domain renewal to us
, we renewed @ $40 US, still no service. Contacted Bulkregister and had "hold" removed, domain up for <24 hrs., now down again. Cannot contact One2Host.

Today (9/19/03) rec'd another renewal notice of $15 US.. boss paid it online hoping to get our domain back up... still waiting. Wish I had read here 1st. One2Host LOUSY! We have new clients who cannot contact us via e-mail (our site and e-mail hosted through someone reputable and local) and we are losing business! Was using the one2host@hotmail.com contact e-address - funny, a Hotmail account. Not very professional! Stay away from One2Host.

I've registered with them in the begginning of june.
Its a living hell every week since then. By the time I got the website built...it was all fine. But now that its up and running...OMG.

1.they change database server ip without any notice. No email...had to log into there ticket @#%$ kinda support to know it. I said..ok cool..ill update my thing and it will work...it just got worst..All my data was lost. They didnt bring the current database...these bunch of @#%$ put a db that was 1 month old! Ive pass a week to yell after them to arrange this...no answer nothing...had to do it myself. Now everytime I send a ticket...takes a @#%$ long time to get answer...and most of the time I dont get any...they just delete the dam ticket. Currently..my site is down...also as the ftp and php admin for managing my bd. They post something in they're "support ticket center" that the company managing the mainstream or something is updating hardware...that they are sory for the downtime and that it will be up in an hour. ITS BEEN 17 HOURS NOW...AND ITS STILL DOWN. IM SO PISSED.

As some other said, no way of mail somone...it just bounce back into your mailbox. Nothing to do with them, they are loosers. If you are looking for an host..DONT GO WITH THEM, you will loose time, data, money, joy of life...etc...

Wish there was a way to sue these people...or to get in london to kick there ass... thx for reading... Eric ... 26 September 2003

our mail works only 5 out of 7 days a week. support? don't even bother. this hosting company is the worst i have ever dealt or heard of. moving our site else where. what a waste of our time amy money. would never recommend this host to any one. wish they refund us for the grief. but i'll just be glad to get our site up with a good hosting company. one2host is the worst hosting compayny. should be ashame for conducting business that way. lies won't get you far. fujtechltd.com Mr. David Lieu .. 27 September 2003

I have had similar problems since I first tried to purchas webhosting from them.
First, I purchased the site in July 29 and it was never even activated until August 17. Once it was activated it wasn't eeven registered to me, they registered the site under their name. Second, Mail and control panels have never worked to date, and I was only able to use ftp twice to try and upload a holding page.

I have tried to email BRIAN several times, no response. Their help desk does not work, at least for me. So now I have no website, can't even register the domain name under a new host, and to top it off, I have lost a lot of money. Way too much money! If anyone could help me I would greatly appreciate it.

There are obviously many, many problems with One2Host. So here is my question-is there any interest in filing a Class Action Suit agains One2Host for Breach of Contract? One2Host took our money too and did not and apparently will not deliver the service they have promised.

Our site has also become one the of the One2Host victims.
Our site (http://goattalk.com) runs a forum board for breeders, both professional and backyard type. Many of our users rely on us daily for advice on care and maintenance of their animals, but lately they can not get on to ask their questions or share their wisedom. We have only been with them since July 11, 2003 and the problems started exactly 45 days after we signed with them.

We too are in the process of moving to a new host, but I can not even get in to copy files down for the move. One2Host needs to be stopped. They take your money and then all service stops!! Kendra E Marquis.. 29 September 2003

It looks like mine is a familiar complaint about one2host.
I registered my domain 2 months ago and nothing happened and when I complained it took 2 weeks to get a response and then only a standard reply which just said it was all ok now - which if course it was not.

Two months after they took my money the domain is still not available to me and I get no reply from them. It looks like we have all been robbed and I for one am not a happy bunny. Is thereany way to move the domain I bought to a new host?? Mark Preston ... 13 October 2003

And I thought I was the only one! I first contracted with One2Host back in March 2003.
Getting my site up wasn't too awful a process, but I started experiencing unexpected downtime at odd intervals. Every now and then there would be a response through the iHelp system, but not within the 24 hours advertised. The final straw is that my site went down a week ago with no warning, and I have posted three iHelp messages and have emailed "brian" as well.

I finally signed up with a new host, and discovered that I couldn't change my domain settings (as One2Host was the middleman for the domain purchase). Fortunately, I was able to get someone at the domain provider to help me. Now I'm waiting to get back online again. Who knows what has happened to my data, and all the e-mail I've received over the past week? I'm in the U.S. or I'd join in a Class Action Suit, as well.

How does one go about filing a formal complaint against a business in the UK? Notice that their address doesn't mention that they are in Buxleyheath, only that they are in Kent? One2Host should be closed down immediately.
Never read a good story about them. They are simply in the business of ripping people off. They are hosting two sites for me and neither one of them are up most of the time. Trying to FTP is nearly impossible. Count your losses and go to another company, don't waste time and/or effort with them. I have logged numerous calls and none of them have ever been answered let alone resolved. I initially posted a complaint against One2host using this forum in August.
Sadly, the situation has not much improved. After a couple of months of stable service, my website is again down (without warning) for almost a week. There have also been many other intermittant issues. What is most sad is the help system. I have outstanding tickets on their "ihelp" service from 6 weeks ago!!!!!!! Then I got a renewal notice and I emailed them for specifics...no response for like 2 weeks and then they told me "yeah you better pay or we'll delete your account...so I paid..and they deleted my account. One2Host.com managed to delete my account and demand payment after I had renewed my account.
I had nothing but problems with them from down time to removing my entire website. I had to wait over a week to get my hosting turned back on after the fact that my entire website was gone with no back up on one2hosts part.
