WHY
NOT TO BUT FROM FORDS.
Went to my local ford dealers (Allen Fords of Romford).
Informed them what car i was interested in, made the paperwork up, went
to view the car. took it for a brief test drive. This was my first car
i had brought and being a female did not look in to purchasing a car previously.
When i said i wanted my grandad to come down and check everything i was
told the paperwork had been done and i had to sign there and then or i
would not be agreed again for finance.
After having the car for 4 months the tensioner breaks and both the AA
and a local gagarage said it was due to a faulty screw. Ford would not
hear of it, would not check the faulty part or re-imburse any of the damage.
I then reported the fact that there seemed to be some kind of a corrosion
on the inside door frame. I took it to the Service Centre and the guy
said it would have to be looked at under warranty. That was in August
2003.
It took them until late November 2003 to get a gentleman from the RAC
to come and inspect the car. I was then told that the corrosion was due
to the car being under or over baked and the primer had not set. My car
was irrepairable.
I received a phone call from a gentleman at Allen Ford Romford who told
me it was his job to find me a new car. I then received a call from the
Customer Relationship Centre confirming that i would receive contact from
my local dealer with regards to a replacement car.
I then had yet another call from the Customer Relationship Centre telling
me that they think the RAC inspector did not carry out the inspection
properly and the car may be repairable. That was on the 5th December 2003.
I have not eard anything since despite telephone calls, letters and emails.

I have a 2003 Ford Explorer. I first
started having a starting problem at 300 miles. It now has 2800 miles
and has been into the shop 4 times. They still have it. I have called
Ford Customer Service and all they tell me is to keep in contact with
the dealer. The last time it happened, I called the Ford Dealer in Oswego
NY. Told them I was across the street and would they please come over
to see what it was doing, I was told NO they would not. I understand the
starting problem is intermittent, it starts after it is moved, however,
this was a perfect opportunity to see what the explorer was doing and
they wanted no part of it. So here I am with a brand new vehicle that
I am afraid to drive, when I actually have it, because it leaves me stranded.

Hartwell Ford in Swindon. Try to
get a service job carried out satisfactorily. I had problems when my mondeo
was serviced last Jan and today they could not fit in a twenty minute
job even though they had the car for 24 hours. it seems to me that Hartwells
philosphy is "this would be a good job if it wasn't for the customers
and their cars! Eddie Porter ... 28 August 2003

Obviosuly Den didn't check his number plates before
leaving the Forecourt, a slight oversight on his part.589
is significantly different to 596, so his he trying to tell us that he
didn't notice this? If that is the case then i have no symapthy with him.

Rotors....I have had to replace my rotors twice
since I bought my ford escape in Nov. 2000. Also I have
had idling issues that have taken me to the dealership 4 times, something
rattles that no one at the dealership can find. I have taken it to the
dealership for one recall on the windshield wipers, one time because the
fuse to the cigerette lighter didn't work and the seats started cracking
and peeling the second year of ownership. I hate my ford. Do not buy a
ford from World ford of stone mountain.

I have a 2002 ford focus station wagon. What
a lemon. Rear end jumps around. After much grief ford said there was a
problem and fixed problem. They toed out rear wheels and now the tires
wear abnormally. Engine light went on. This is a big fat lemon. Don't
ever buy a focus and although i have a faithful ford buyer now i will
buy toyota. Ford i believe have told dealers to not resolve consumer complaints.
How said. Ford needs to get out of the car buiness. Richare roberds

I have recently bought a scorpio ultima, n reg
and cannot get any repair manuals anywhere, my husband is a qualified
mechanic, but due to health problems can no longer work, but even he can't
get hold of any info, Haynes don't do a book because its not sort after
enough, any suggestions are most welcome! whats the point of selling a
car if the only place it can be repaired is at fords, at their unbelievable
expensive prices, it's even worse having my own mechanic! Mrs

I own a 2001 ford crew cab superduty platinum edition.
this is a 40,000+ pickup my pasenger side step bar fell off going down
the highway and my dealer said to have it fixed it would be covered. Then,
two months later i am told that i would have to pay for it. I was called
a lier by the warranty claim lady, and lied to by a customer satisfaction
lady. I think that it is pretty crappy that i spend this kind of money
on a vehicle and you guys won't stand behind it.

I totally agree I have had major problems
with Hartwell Ford, Dunstable since I purchased my Ka
in Sept 2000. I asked them 7 times to replace number plates and I ended
up getting them from Halfords, they fitted a tailgate spolier and it fell
off, and now I've noticed it has the wrong seats in as to what is advertised
in their delightful little brochure and thats not all, beware of this
garage unless you want to sign your life away.
