Note: We took a decision to archive all published consumer
comments on Dolphin bathrooms for the period up to October 2003 (approx
53). Let's give Dolphin a 'fresh start' for 2004!
Suffice to say that the bulk of comments published last year were not
favourable. It would be interesting what your experiences are this year
with Dolphin bathrooms:- Happy Reading or not (as the case may be!)
===================
Dolphin Bathrooms were due to visit our
hose to design our bathroom. The first appointment was
cancelld by them because their sales man said he had fractured his leg,
the second bathroom appointment was cancelled by them because their salesman
could not call us to confirm the appointment, despite us having many mobile
phones and answerphones, no real attempt was made to contact us, the third
appointment was cancelled today because their sales man has a cold, I
told them to forget it and thanks for wasting my time. I was fed up with
wasting time with company that wasted so much of my time and did not care
about prospective customers.....

I'm glad I read this first,
as I was on the verge of visiting our local Dolphin showroom anticipating
them designing and installing a new bathroom. Not now, thanks to your
warning. Kim Duffy ... 4 January 2004

Having contacted Dolphin by e-mail and telephone
we arranged a visit which was confirmed by them in writing.
The "designer failed to turn up. There was no telephone call, but
when we called the Dolphin office we were told his car had broken down
and he was not making any visits that day. Apparently the next time he
is available to visit our area in Scotland is in 3 weeks time. He wil
not have to make the effort as the opinion I now have of Dolphin is such
that I will look elsewhere to refurbish my main bathroom and en-suite

Glad I found this site. Many people
have commented that there are other companies to go to for this full service.
Can anyone recommend a reputable bathroom fitting company in the London
area? Thanks .

This complaint follws the exact lines of our own
experience with Dolphin. We were told that the bathroom
would take 5-7 working days. After the visit of the first fitter we had
a few minor complaints. After the visit of a second fitter we needed the
entire bathroom removing & refitting. The third fitter did okay but
remedial work was still required as the trap in the shower was being siphoned
off when the sink or bath were emptied. This was finally rectified giving
a total of 15 weeks to fit my bathroom. For this inconvienience we have
been offered 175 compensation which was their second offer.
