I purchased a Tredex TX3050E from auction world. (two in fact, one was a present) after a couple of months use, the remote control ceased operating. I have tried phoning the Tredex customer support helpline, only to hear the message, "This number is no longer in use". I even wrote to Tredex, only to have the letter returned to me with the notification, "Address has gone away".
Does Auction world know that they are selling products, that cannot be returned. Does Auction world care.? If anyone knows of how I can get the remote control repaired, or buy a replacement, please contact me.

My husband ordered me an Aston Gerard Watch on the 8th April 2004 and paid £700 which was charged the same day to our Credit Card.
We waited the suggested 21 days for delivery, allowing for the Bank holidays and the watch did not arrive. Have contacted Auction World on almost a dozen occassions and also sent E mails but am getting nowhere and still have no watch. My credit card company are aware and attempting to obtain a refund. Our view is that this company MUST have their visa and mastercard merchant ability removed IMMEDIATELY as it is bringing the good names of these organisations into disrepute. Having contacted Aston Gerard direct I understand they are very unhappy with the channel bringing their prestige name into question also. I have contacted the BBC Watchdog programme and will be contacting trading standards in an effort to get these people shut down.

The glasses arrived broken and it ook me three weeks to get them collected of which it then took a further two weeks to ascertain that they had no replacements and they would refund me. The TV never came and i was finally told it was because it was damaged. I again was told i would get a refund - well well its june and i still havent got my money back!!!

I bought a signed Manchester United shirt for my boyfriend on here which has never arrived, on telephoning the customer service number I have discovered it is permanetly engaged. As a new customer to Auction World I would like to outline my experience: I purchased a solitaire diamond ring from them in May for £1100, the money was taken from my account the very next day.

I was told that a ring sizer would be despatched but it never arrived. I called the customer service number several times before getting through and was given the WIN number to quote on the ring size answerphone line to confirm my ring size. I called a week later to confirm this had been logged and was told it had not.

The ring was received 30 days from date of order and when I examined it I was shocked that the quality of the stone was so poor and did not conform to SI quality, which was stated several times by the presenters on the show. The ring had a guide price of £13,000 this ring is worth no more than £1000. I called and asked for a replacement which I arranged for yesterday between 3-6pm for which I had to take as holiday from work for and they didn't come !

Now they have missed the 2nd collection and trying to speak to someone in their customer service department is harder than having tea with the Queen. Does anyone have any ideas Scott driscoll ... 22 June 2004

I am currently waiting for delivery of 2 items from Auction World. I ordered a Tredex DVD for £87.00 on 31/12, and was told delivery would be 5-10 days.
The money was taken from my account on 2/1. The 10 days passed so I tried to contact customer support by phone, but that was impossible. I left several messages on their answer phone, but nobody returned my call. I then e.mailed them on 14/1, and received a reply that day saying the DVD would be delivered by the 17/1. Guess what, it never arrived. I am also waiting for a Vito Carlucci watch that I bought on 8/1. The money (£44.00) was taken fro this on 9/1, and I was told delivery would be within 5 days. Again, I have not received the watch, or heard from them.

After reading the many similar stories on several review sites on the internet (and I mean lots and lots of them), I now beleive that Auction World have no intention of sending these items to me. The annoying thing is, they obviously do not have any of these Tredex DVD players to send to people, but yet they are still allowed to auction these by the hundreds each and every day. They have auctioned these many times today, still advertising the delivery time. Surely this has got to be against the law. There has got to be a way to stop this company from trading once and for all.

I will not be taking this lying down, and i will not rest until I have them taken off the air. I will now e.mail the Customer Services Manager, and the their solicitors requesting a refund. I then intent to contact other organisations and media to acheive my aim. What I require is the support of all the other people out there who have been ripped of by these people. If I can gather a partition, I am sure we can take this to the authorities and get them stopped. Please contact me. (contact editor for email address) Nigel Alderson ...19 Jan 2003

Prices Of Globes!
I work for a shipping company and we are now clearing various globes for importers. Same as shown on auction world, 330mm MOP gold plated stand etc... and other sizes etc. I notice that the estimated prices on auction world seem slightly high, want the truth? The price the supplier in China sells these for is lapis 220mm $40.85, lapis 330mm $73.00, mop 220mm $90.00, mop 330mm $128.00 remember these prices are in US dollars not pounds! Who is doing well out of this? not the consumer nor the poor old supplier where do they get these estimates?? I have seen an invoice for a bulk order of MOP 330mm globes and they were approx £30-£40 each!!! The annoying thing is they are good quality products that do take many hours to complete, but by some extremely poorly paid chinese man/woman or child and sold for a pitence! Think on!! Advice to Ronald Sinden and to anyone else with problems:
Take them to court!

I won my case against them yesterday to get a full refund as well as £105.40 expenses.

Contact their solicitors, Mackrell, Turner, Garrett, Inigo Place, 31 Bedford Street, Strand, London WC2E 9EY, telephone 020 7240 0521. Nigel Rowley is a director of Auctionworld and a partner in this firm of solicitors.

Failing this, a county court summons is very easy to serve.
In order to comply with Clik2complaints' wishes, my home address is:XXXXx (full details suppied) and telephone XXXX (supplied) and the court case number was TW021535. Mike Stanford... 1 November 2002

Can I please add a footnote to the latest posting of Mr Stanford....

"If customers have a problem, I suggest they initially contact Head of

Good luck with your complaint. I bought a Microsoft keyboard from them last Nov. for an Xmas present. After non-delivery, I contacted them by phone and was promised delivery within 3 days, I am still waiting. Needless to say, they were quick enough taking the money off my credit card. I have made numerous calls to their call centre, premium rate number, I have written to them, I have e-mailed them, what more am I supposed to do? Every time I contact them, it costs me more money. I feel this station should be investigated by the watchdog and made to pay for ripping people off.

In April 2002 I was successful in a bid for a gold necklace
, the £250.00 was debited from my credit card in April.

When within 21 days it did not arrive I called the customer information line. They logged my query of non delivery and said that I could not speak to anyone directly by telephone and they would arrange for someone to call me back. This did not happen, I called back on a daily basis to no avail, eventually I received a call, a mumbled message on my answer phone to ask me to call if I still wanted it, I called and confirmed I still required this item but as of today 4 months later I am still awaiting delivery.

I started the process all over again but the same response. Today I instructed my solicitor to sue Auction World for theft, waste time and administration charges. My money has been taken and no goods have been supplied.

Now maybe someone will sort this problem out. It has been 4 months to get nowhere and with the cost of repeatley calling and now the solicitors I intend to take this all the way. I have no intention of ever purchasing from Auction World again and would advise anyone thinking to do so against it.
