Dear Mr Ohren,

I am sorry to learn that you were dissatisfied with the service which you received from British Gas.

Our records show that we started to supply your electricity on 17 September 2001. Your previous supplier objected to the transfer of your gas supply.

I regret that we have not taken over your gas account.

We offer a duel fuel discount of £15 a year, to customers who buy both gas and electricity from us.

On 29 October, we credited your account with £20, when you expressed your concern that you were not benefiting from this discount. This discount will show on your next statement.

You are not, however, being charged at a higher tariff as a result of this. There are no standing charges on our bills and you are paying on the two tier day tariff 11.56p/5.82p, and the night tariff 2.54 per kWh.

I sincerely apologise for the problems which you describe in resolving this enquiry.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of further assistance.

yours sincerely Kathryn White
