On 18 December Superfi claimed £194.94
from my Visa card. The goods ordered have never arrived. The firm has been informed of this. At first they sugggested that Parcelforce
might be to blame, but if they have investigated this, they have failed to inform me. Now all emails sent to the firm are being ignored. A recorded letter sent to the company arrived (this was checked with Royal Mail) but no reply was made. Two months on I am £194.94 down, have no mini disc player and get no response at all from the company. I am still awaiting a reponse from Visa who have been made aware of the problem. This list covers the contact I have made with the firm:

16/12/01 Order no . It is now 10 days since you received my order. As yet no goods have arrived. Please tell me if they are on their way.

17/12/01 I refer to your email stating that my card had not been authorised. If there were problems with my card, why was I not informed? No other company has ever found any problem with this card. Please inform me if I can still purchase the goods; if you have taken any money from the card and any other relevant information. With Christmas so close, your company has put me in an awkward position. I have tried to phone your company but the line is always busy.

21/12/01 Order no Please tell me if this order has now been accepted and if the goods are on their way. I realise they are unlikely to be here by Christmas, but would like to be reassured that this time you have not found any problems and that the order is finally being processed

28/12/01 Order no . I received an email from you on 6 December, stating that you had received my order. A new order was submitted on 17 December. After further enquiries you told me the goods were despatched on 22 December.It is now 28 December, and I have still received nothing. Why?

3/1/02 Order no It is now nearly a month since I first placed an order with your firm. In your last communication, you said you were going to contact Parcelforce. As ever, I am not aware of what is happening. From my point of view, my wee lad got nothing for his Christmas, nothing at New Year and is now about to go back to school - still with no mini disc recorder. What kind of service is this? Please tell me if I will receive my goods in the very close future or if you are going ro refund my money.

7/1/02 Order no : I have received neither the goods ordered nor a reasonable explanation for the long delay. Therefore, if I do not receive my son's mini disc recorder within 24 hours, I wish to cancel the order. I will advise Visa and other relevant authorities in order to recoup my money, already withdrawn by you from my account.

16/12 Regarding your order. Please note that your card was not authorised, so we
cannot process your order.

17/12 When processing the card the bank declined it -they are not allowed to give
any reason. We have not taken any money as the bank refused the transaction.
This is not due to anything within our company, and should be taken up with
the credit card issuers

22/12 The order was dispatched on Thursday and should hopefully be with you before
Christmas

29/12 Hi,
It was sent by Parcelforce 24 hour delivery service, so you should have
received it by now. We will have to chase it with Parcelforce themselves,
but they are now not open until Monday. I am sorry for the further delay in
delivering this order.
