In view of the problems with my site here is a copy of the message
I posted:
I
applied online for web hosting and chose the basic package.
This is when my problems began.
Problem 1)
Although I entered my details for payment by instalments my
card was charged 12 months in advance.
Problem 2)
I have yet to receive an agreement of any kind either by
post or E Mail.
Problem 3)
After four months I still do not have a correctly
functioning website as there seems to be a problem with whatever
server it
is that they use.
Problem 4)
No explanation has been given by the company for the above despite
repeated
requests.
Problem 5)
My repeated requests for a refund and immediate cancellation of
my account have been ignored.
Problem 6)
My E Mails to the company are being returned marked comment not
recorded and permission denied.
Problem 7)
I tried to connect to my site once again last night in a last ditch
attempt to get nmy site looking the way I intended and the site
was down completely as was the Freezone site also. I have been in
contact with Trading Standards because this company also advertises
an online control panel with the package which would enable me to
work on my website online thus eliminating whatever problem it is
that prevents me from uploading my files correctly.
( My files are corrupted by their equipment ).
Trading Standards are visiting me in my home this week to take a
written statement so they obviously feel this company has a case
to answer. My next step would be to take legal action myself but
I would prefer to avoid the hassle and the expense.
I have contacted numerous people in this organisation but most recently
I have been dealing with the Sales Director. All I wanted was a
refund from this company because they failed to supply a service
as advertised and charged me in advance against my wishes.
Regards,
Kenneth Webb.
