Bo Concept Right of Reply

Complainant: Mr Bargery
Date: 12 May 2003

Re: Bo Concept's Right of Reply letter (Visit Dedicated Page)

Well done clik2complaints.co.uk you got a despatch date in writing. Although
no delivery date. The cheque was for £220, not £250, a shade less than ten
per cent off of the original order price. It was received in an envelope
with a comps slip, no letter, no information or communication.

We have received promotional material from BO Concept advertising 'up to 25
% off to visitors to the store'. For sixteen weeks waiting we get ten
percent off...

The list of mishaps above does miss out the last two deliveries: on the 23rd
of April Bo once again tried to deliver our interim sofa. They failed again,
only having half the required legs. So it went back.

On the 29th they turned up for the fourth time, this time we 'phoned the
despatch department and made sure someone checked that ALL the legs, arms
and relevant bits required to make up our sofa were on the lorry.

Tuesday evening it all turns up, BUT, during the last delivery the
assemblers scratched our newly laid bamboo floor whilst putting the much
travelled sofa together, we have an inspector from BO coming around to night
to view the damage.

The frustating part for us has been the lack of concern from the customer
services department. At times the representatives have been dismissive,
rude, ignorant, flippant and derisive. All we want is for someone to care
about us, to seem to want us to get their product and be happy with it.

Bo Concept will have had at least FIVE attempts to deliver a sofa (if the
next one turns up OK), we have been waiting fourteen weeks with a room empty
of furniture. What if the next delivery is incorrect? Who do we contact
next.

To answer the question, 'why don't we get our money back?' - well, Bo have
had our money for eight months now, in an ISA (which is where the money came
from) we would have earned around £80, we cannot get this lost interest
back. We have both had time off of work, we cannot get these hours back. We
have invested hours in 'phone calls, letters and conversations with van
drivers.

All this investment is locked up in a corner sofa. If we cancel
the order we won't have nothing, we will have less than nothing...
