In June, I went to Comet to look at fridge/freezers, saw
one that was suitable, and after looking at other retail outlets
decided to buy the Comet item. On returning and speaking to the
sales person (I think the sales manager, but may be wrong there)
I was told that the item was out of stock and he didn't know when
it would be available. I bought one from the Co-op instead.
Today I went to Comet once again, this time to buy a video recorder.Same
story - After 'doing the rounds', I returned to buy a model offered
by Comet only to be told it was out of stock and he (same man) didn't
know when they would be getting any.
Why-o-why if they haven't got any of an item are they sitting in
displays with price tickets and details? Why not remove things they
don't have in stock? As it was I again had to trek back to the Co-op,
quietly fuming and swearing never again to set foot in a Comet store
again.
