I ordered a Washing MAchine from Argos which was delivered by
Reality - both companies being part of the Reality Group.
The following is an extract from my letter of complaint:
The original delivery date was Tuesday April 23rd. We were
informed that delivery would occur some time between 7 am and
5 pm. At 5:15 pm, your van was observed to pull up outside. A
member of your staff came to the front door and posted a note,
timed at 16:16, saying that they were unable to deliver the goods
because no-one was home.
This was not true:
a) Someone was home all day.
b) The doorbell was not rung.
c) The time they arrived was 17:15, not 16:16.
Re-delivery was arranged for today. The goods were delivered this
time but your staff were exceptionally rude, saying F...
y..! to my au-pair at one point and behaving in a generally
unhelpful manner.
I hope that you will agree that this behaviour is unacceptable
and will take the necessary steps to stop it happening in future.
I am unlikely to order products from any Reality Group company
in future.
I have copied this correspondence to GUS plc via their web-site
and to the Consumer Complaints List service via their site.

Right of Reply letter has been issued.
