I am a student of Lancaster University.
I called Wang Dynasty Travel Agents in Manchester in Aug this
year for the air tickets to Shanghai. The operator Jenny told
me a price(489pounds)which I was happy with so that I gave her
my credit card number. But the next week they called me saying
the price was going up.
I could not understand why the price suddenly rose and the problem
is I booked earlier before the price going up. So I said NO to
them:'I don't want that higher price ticket.'
They thus cancelled the booking. The horrible thing is later I
found there are 501pounds disappeared from my bank account. I
called WangDynasty asking what happened. They said sorry and would
give me cheque for the money I lost. Long time later, I finally
got the cheque but only 492pounds. I called them again for the
9 pounds and they explained
that 9pounds were charged by bank. As a customer, I think I've
done nothing wrong but I lose 9 pounds!!
I called WangDynasty today and to talk to the manager, but the
manager said if I begged him he would consider to give me back
9pounds.
I am really confused, should I lose these 9 pounds with nothing?
