Another Timextra.com complaint:

I can sympathise with Mrs. Davies [Read her story too]who ordered a mouse from this
company. I know the amount for my complaint is not much (£2.50) it is the service that I want to bring to light.

I placed an order with this company for a mouse for my children's
computer & 2 CD wallets. I placed my order on 10 September 2001.
After having no response after a week I contacted them and they said that items were on order and should be with me in 7-10 days.

Finally I receive a package from the Post Office and inside it were 2 cd wallets and NO MOUSE! However on my order page it said all goods were despatched.

When I e-mailed them they said that my mouse was out of stock and that they had credited my card for the mouse. However I know it was in stock 1 week after I placed my order as it was still listed on the website.

Upon exchanging further e-mails on 3 October 2001 with Timextra they said that they would let me keep my refund and as a sign of good faith thay would send a mouse in a couple of days.

Today is 8 October 2001 and I received my credit card statement - NO REFUND AND STILL NO MOUSE.

Just another niggle. Why, when this company write back to you do they always write "Dear Customer"? Do they actually bother to look to see who is writing to them?

update 29 October 2001

Dear Jon
This were the last 2 e-mail messages I had and still it has not arrived. I will be writing to them again to inform them about their service but it would appear that they are not too bothered about customer service:

I have spoken to our purchasing team who advised me that the stock is being booked into the warehouse and will be ready for despatch by end of 24.10.01. As soon as this happens you will receive an email of confirmation. Timextra.com
