Tempo customer's growing frustration on their failure
to repair Faulty TV set under warranty:
They have a very poor service dept. I have a 5yr contract with
my television.
1) 1st contact was on 22 August 2001.
2) Service man came on 28 August 2001. Couldn't fix on site so
took it away to be back in 2-3 days!
3) After a week no contact so phoned. I was told they were waiting
for a part. On 5 September 2001, I recieved a call saying my TV
was fixed but no vans to return it to me untill 13 September 2001!
4) I complained and after much effort and
money on calls, I got my TV back on the 10 September 2001 to find
it in the same state as it was removed.
5) They were to come today 18 September 2001 to fix it but I've
been missed off their list! This is our main28" TV connected
to satallite. We've watched all the football internationals on
a 14" TV upstairs.
SAGA CONTINUES:
6) They are coming on 20 September 2001. However this is to assess
the problem not to fix the television. We'll see!!

We are writing to TEMPO for a response and of course we ask politely
that TEMPO repairs the TV under the terms of the contract.
Let us hear of your TEMPO experiences.
update 19 October 2001
The Tempo letter to Dr Dixon apologises for " the inconvenience
you have suffered" and confirms that the repair has been completeted.
Perhaps worthy of mention is the fact that Tempo Limited is in Administration:
"N B Kahn and A V Lomas of Pricewaterhouse were appointed
Joint Administrators of Tempo Holdings Ltd, KF Group Limited and
Tempo Ltd on 24 September 2001 by order of the court".
