Ryanair is a budget airline, and prices you pay do in no way reflect the value, tax, security charge etc or not, as a business owner you should have the money to get a decent airline - haven't you learneD?? You always get what you pay for - that also extends to service.

I had to cancel a flight for myself and my wife from London Stanstead to Verona Brescia due to sudden illness.
I did not expect a refund for fare, but I did expect that the tax element would be returned.£25.88

Ryanair have refused to repay this I have written and asked if the tax had been paid to the appropriart tax authority or has it remained with Ryanair.
They have replied " we are unable to provide you with further information regarding our payments" End of Story. UK tax authorties have confirmed that tax does not have to be paid on cancelled flights.

I fully agree with You. RyanAir ist the worst airline I've ever met - the old Russian Aeroflot was significantly better! They use the names for the airports there are 40-70 miles away from the destination! e.g. Niederrhein- Duesseldorf (80km away from Düsseldorf!) Due to this I missed my flight, became no rax refund and I had to pay additionally 130 EURO for another flight to London.

I have to say that in the past, I HAVE received a refund of the airport tax from Ryanair.
(For some reason the payment slip indicated that it(the payment) was from Emirates. There was another time that a Ryanair flight was cancelled(due to bad weather) and no accommodation was offered. There wasn't another for 24 hours. Luckily, as I had paid for my tickets with an MBNA credit card, this gave me an immediate insurance benefit of £250 to pay for food and accommodation. Very useful. Do make sure that you have adequate insurance. You can't expect a low cost airline such as Ryanair to offer 5* service. Don Valentine ... 2 September 2003
