I wanted to buy a CD from this record company. They show the price
as $17 (seventeen DOLLARS) plus $4 (four DOLLARS) P+P. They are
in the UK, I am in the UK, so I work out $21 will convert down
to about £14.90. Fair enough, I place the order.
They use Buy-secure for their credit card transactions, part of
the Multicards group. I get a confirmation from them quoting 21GBP
(great british pounds). I mail Rolinc to say I do not wish to
pay 21 POUNDS for a CD! No reply. I phone Multicards, they promise
to convert back from dollars to pounds and confirm by e-mail,
nothing! I mail Rolinc to cancel the order and phone Multicards,
they say they will credit me.
This morning my credit card is charged. Not just for £21,
but for £21.45 because they have taken £21, converted
it upwards to dollars, then converted that dollars back down at
the going rate to earn themselves another 45 pence.
This is disgusting and still Rolinc have not even had the decency
to reply to my mails. They have no address on their website and
are not listed by directory of Enquiries. They are a Scottish
Record company who are the only source for music by Paul Haig.
Please help me sort this out!
The matter is now resolved. I have had a full refund. Rolinc have
apologised. I am not sure what they have done with their credit
card
company.
