Having briefly read some of the previous comments posted on this
website with regards to Moben Kitchens, I can only wholeheartedly
agree with my co-sufferers. My wife and I paid in excess of £10,000
for a Moben Kitchen last July. From day one they have been a COMPLETE
NIGHTMARE.
I have phoned in excess of 50 times - and written probably 10
letters of complaint. They promise everything and deliver nothing.
Please, please, please, do not use or recommend this company.
They use their leverage as a large company to bulldoze their customers.
They do not return phone calls or reply to letters and clearly
have no respect at all for customer care and service.
Can you believe after 11 months of faulty materials and an incomplete
kitchen, which cost in excess of £10,000, they offered me
£50 in compensation. I ordered and paid for it in August
last year, and today, they have finally turned up to complete
the job.
A few words of advice:
1. Never pay the entire invoiced amount up front. As a customer
you are within your rights to pay only 15%.
2. Always use a credit card to pay some or all of the money. The
credit card company is equally liable to any losses on your part.
3. Check out websites like this - incl. BBC's Watchdog - to research
the reputation of the company you are considering using
4. If you are at all unsure about your rights, contact the Office
of Fair Trading and/or a solicitor.
5. Use a local company - somewhere you can walk into and address
(and complain, if necessary, to) someone personally. A company
that has an important, local, reputation to maintain.
