I would like to know why a Kitchen Installation quoted as taking
3 - 5 working days to complete,is not yet finished some 7 months
later.
Mr Paul Baines their Customer Services Manager/Director initally
offered me £500 compensation providing I would settle there
and then and consider the matter fully closed. I refused.
As I write this, I am still awaiting a fitter to eventually turn
up and complete the works as specified in the original plans and
for which Kitchens Direct have had full payment in advance.
A Right of Reply email has been issued.

like I've had a lucky escape ... my situation is
same as Mr Stanley (13/5/02) - had "bad experience" with
Dolphin Bathrooms (don't bother going through Qualitas for compensation!).
When I rang KD for a survey appointment I specifically asked the
bloke if KD was connected with Dolphin or Moben and he said no!
I'll be going by word of mouth recommendation by friends/family
from now on, and stick to local suppliers, to avoid all the "phone
and letter rage" I experienced with Dolphin (just the thought
of them brings me out in a cold sweat ...). Rah Warner ...

I was actually searching for Kitchens Direct website site,
however, i found this site first, thankfully! I trust word of mouth
over any advertising, so, although this may not be much consolation
for your bad service, at least feel satisfied that you have potentially
lost them the value of a kitchen as i will not even get a quote

I concur with Mrs Watson's comments
and will now cancel the appointment made for the
first survey. I do not wish to do business with such a compsny having
had a similar bad experience with Dolphin Bathrooms Mr Stanley...13

Direct website as I had heard the name from a friend,
lucky I saw the link to your site before I went onto make any purchases.

You are probably better of not having
them finish a job. The kitchen is Ok its the fitting
that lets the service down.

WITHOUT PREJUDICE. I'm only sorry that I didn't
see Mr Jeffery's comment - I engaged KD in Sept
to replace my kitchen whilst I was out of the country. Of course
this didn't happen, all that happened is that my old kitchen was
removed. Now my kitchen still isn't finished, my floor was ruined
when flooded by their incompetence and I now have to redecorate
another room, after them carrying out works which they were specifically
asked not to do!
After endless 'phonecalls and letters, I've now been offered much
less than Mr J from Mr Baines, but on top of all this, I HAVE STILL
RECEIVED NO APOLOGY IN WRITING OR VERBALLY! The kitchen might be
ok when finished and the fitters were all very helpful, however
it's the lack in communication between everyone concerned to get
the job done! (Still battling with them, so can't give name!)

Kitchen's direct! I have had the misfortune
to come into contact with. My Kitchen is still not
complete 9 months after the original date. I have suffered a near
fatal gas leak, a blown up oven because the electrics were not earthed
and numerous other unsatisfactory happenings. They have been rude,
wasted my time and money, and I am at the end of my tether! Surely
their advertising is misleading under the trades discription Act....Has

I too have just had a kitchen fitted by KD
the whole job is a complete shambles the fitter wasn’t
even completely skilled as a plumber as he told us himself needless
to say we have made a complaint but even customer services are useless
and rude have taken my complaint to Qualitas to help sort it out.
