28 June 2001 An email sent on by
Ms Davies to Timextra.com
"I am absolutely disgusted at the service given by your
company Timextra.
I ordered a cordless mouse and keyboard for my Dad for Father's
Day (17th June) on the 6th June 2001. I am still waiting for 1)
the product to arrive for my Dad, and 2) a reply to two e-mails
written to the Customer Service dept. ( 9th and 11th June). I
have made a few phone-calls directly to you and I have always
been given a false date of when to expect the goods. I have received
a token gesture of a CD Tower from you, but I feel this is not
enough to quell my anger and embarrassment that my father is still
awaiting his present.
Would it be too much to ask for your company to send the product
bought? And if not to notify me, with apologies, as to why it
hasn't arrived?
I require some explanations." end of quote.

The Consumers Complaint List also sent a Right of reply email
on 29 June 2001 and finally on the 4 July, Ms Davies finally received
an email [Read
the email] from Timextra.com that leaves a lot
to be desired with Timextra's Customer Service in this particular
case.
It informed that the delivery was finally on its way and also
included a dismissive and patronising line stating: " I apologise
also if this was a gift".There is really no excuse for this
kind of treatment from a company of this stature.
The gift was finally delivered to her dad on 6 July 2001 well
after Father's Day. But Ms Davies is still pursuing her complaint
for what she calls "an extremely poor service" (and
we agree).

The Consumers Complaint List has also written on 6 July 2001 to
Timextra's Headquarters requesting that Ms Davies be given the courtesy
of an explanation and a full refund as compensation. No response
as at 20 July 2001
"No response as yet! I think they are trying to forget about
me!" ...Ms Davies.
