Dolphin started work on our £7000 bathroom on August 13th
2002. It's now October 8th 2002, and it's still not finished.
They're refusing to do any work on our ceiling, which is not in
a state which we can paint, despite them stripping woodchip wallpaper
off it in the first place, leaving tiny bits of paper all over
it, and doing some shoddy plastering which is all lumpy.
We've had countless conversations by phone with them, we have
twice been hung up on! The original sales man, Jim Stone, told
us it would take 5 days. It's 8 weeks today since they started!
He also told us that we'd be responsible for final decor, which
to me, means wall papering or painting. It's taken 4 weeks for
them to send someone round to skim the walls and finish off the
job properly, but are still refusing to touch the ceiling.
They have admitted that the service we've received has been appalling,
and we are awaiting a compensation offer. We will certainly be
taking them through the small claims court.
There have been numerous things which haven't been done, or haven't
been done properly, I would strongly advise anyone to not go anywhere
near Dolphin, or any company associated with the HomeForm Group.
We can't get anywhere with their "customer services"
dept, no one seems to really care too much, seeing as they already
have our money.
We only chose Dolphin because we were expecting a quick and professional
installation, and it's been nothing of the sort, it's just been
a complete nightmare.
