Non delivery! Where is my cooker?
I
purchased a Cooker Package from Comet's Reading store on the 15/09/01.
To date I have not heard as to when I can expect the goods. I
have telephoned numerous times to their National help desk centre,
but as with all these big stores, you can't seem to call the branch
or shop direct.
I have
written to both the store in Reading, and the head office. I have
still not heard anything in the form of a reply to my letters.
I was
hoping to have a dinner party on 6th October, but had to cancel
as I did not have my new cooker. At this rate, I will not be able
to cook my Christmas dinner!.
I have
never experienced such bad customer service. One chap that I spoke
to at the help centre number said that when he tried to contact
the store in Reading they replied ' not you again, I am on my
own here, and can't take any more calls'.
What can I
do to get my goods?.

We have sent a Right of Reply letter to the Reading store and also
an email to Comet.
update on 6 November 2001
We have received an email from Comet promising delivery on 10 November
2001. See Right of Reply box. Furthermore, as you will note from
the comment box below, Comet has offered some form of compensation.
