Bid at Auction-World.tv £1200 for 1.05ct. solitaire ring White Gold -supposedly worth £12995. On phone it was stated that as I gave my ring size, R, it would be sooner rather than later than 21 days. (Customer ID 22xxxx).

Have not yet received it, no dates given, and it was a present from my husband for 30th Wedding Anniversary. We waited until we could find ring really wanted. They have money,

No ring. Sent 3 e-mails, no response, telephoned waited 11mins 21 secs. cut off. Feel disappointed, and noted all other disappointments. We really want the ring. Feel that Customer Services does not respond, and that you are not important to them. Have bought before no problem.

  Editorial Comments

The email from Auction World (see company rightofreply box above left) promised delivery by 16th. But another email from Ms Dimberline (see below) says this hasn't happened. However, the fault here could be with Royal Mail.

update on 16 June 2004:
"Guess What. Now 11.13 in morning of 16th, postman been (Auction-World normally send by Special Delivery with Royal Mail) and the ring has not been received.

What are they playing at. I cannot accept their type of Customer Service. When am I going to receive the ring. They do not deliver. As I have stated, I have never had trouble before with this company and understand that it is mainly with jewellery there is a problem. I won't order any from them again if they cannot keep to their promises."

Is that what they call an apology. They should not have bothered

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

I too have had numerous problems with Auction World, they have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I am amazed they are being allowed to trade. I waited over three months for a refund and sent around 20 e-mails to them before they took any action. If you do get through on the phone you will always get cut off after listening to a recorded message for 15 minutes. Some of their products are very good it is just their customer service that lets them down.
